TEA HOUSE AT THE ELMS NEWPORT

The Elms was the summer residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Julius Berwind of Philadelphia and New York. Mr. Berwind made his fortune in the coal industry. In 1898, the Berwinds engaged Philadelphia architect Horace Trumbauer to design a house modeled after the mid-18th century French chateau d’Asnieres (c.1750) outside Paris.

Amy & Jason thought it would be the perfect spot for their RI elopement formal images. Elegant, sophisticated, with a touch of Europe where they fell in love on their adventures on The Amazing Race season 23 and it the outcome not only did they win the race they won each other’s hearts!

They did have a huge wedding in Punta Cana but it was really important to the two of them to share their formal catholic wedding with their who would not be able to travel off to the Dominican.
